![]() ![]() This means you should ask EVERYONE about ALL their preferences (except music), even after you've filled up your bubbles. ALL likes and dislikes that ALL members of the family have contribute to your score. The gig UI bubbles are not the only likes/dislikes that affect your score.Do that, and find out all the likes/dislikes you can, because they are the key to doing well on your job. Build mode freezes time and the reveal takes maybe 3 hours, so you have the whole rest of that time to get to know the clients. I always try to save a couple hundred simoleons, at least. I think clients might like it if you come in under budget. It's unprofessional to show up smelly, and the clients will get upset over it. If you go with them, you get to do the decoration and come home when you're done. If you send them alone, they'll be gone the full 12 hours. At 9 am the day of the gig, you'll get a popup asking if you want to go to join them or send them alone. You don't have to navigate to the gig lot yourself.I haven't run into any problems that prevented me from getting paid, but if I did, that 8:30 am save could give me the opportunity to go back and send my sim to the job alone that day instead. Personally I like saving around 8:30 am in game. I recommend getting into the habit of saving your game at certain intervals. If you don't want to risk it, you can either not take a job that will requires additions in apartments, or send them to work alone that day. It seems like EA might have done a workaround with this where it automatically puts a check mark next to that objective, essentially turning it into a room renovation. You cannot add more floor tiles to apartments."Level addition" means they want you to add an additional level. "Level renovation" means they want you to redecorate an entire floor that already exists. "Kitchen/ renovation" wants you to do that room, but as of now the AI doesn't have a way to know you didn't actually do the kitchen, so if you want to do a different room, you can. "Room Renovation" means you get to pick whatever room you want to do.They are always the day after you select the gig. You pick a gig with the little button on the right hand side of the job menu after you join the career.I'm going to be calling the UI that displays the likes/dislikes the client has told you about specific to the job "the bubbles." I'm also sometimes going to shorthand likes/dislikes into "preferences."."Adding more floor tiles" doesn't refer to flooring but making the house bigger, like what's counted in Tiny Living.I've had some other observations about Likes/Dislikes, and the observable mechanics of the pack since that post, and this also addresses many of the questions I've seen. A lot of people found this post really helpful. ![]()
